Image From Wikipedia
We are so ready to lay out and get a tan on the beautiful coastline of San Francisco.  Beaches, surfing, and relaxing are some of the best parts of summer.  San Francisco is home to some of the best beaches in California.  There is a beach for every taste and summer activity imaginable.  The best part is that they are all within driving distance of your home at Berkeley Central.

Ocean Beach is the biggest beach in all of San Francisco. This beach stretches three miles along the San Francisco coast, giving you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the sun.  This is also one of the most popular beaches in San Francisco be sure to plan ahead to avoid summer tourist crowds.  Surfing, swimming, and even walking your dog are all allowed in certain areas up and down the coastline. For an extra special touch, pack a picnic lunch to go. Ocean Beach makes a perfect day or weekend trip, as it is located approximately 50 minutes away from your apartment home at Berkeley Central.

This Urban Beach is located right in the heart of the city, within close proximity to the popular attractions of Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. Aquatic Park is a "bay beach," which means the water is softer and the sand is easier to walk on.  It is the perfect beach to take a walk or relax in the surf without worrying about rocks or rough waters.  Aquatic Park is a little over an hour away from home, so it is the perfect getaway with your friends and family for a day out.

If you feel like traveling a little, journey across the Bay Bridge into Marin County for a visit to Stinson Beach.  If you are looking for more than a day to lay out in the sun, Stinson Beach is your ideal Bay Area beach, as it has access to state park hiking trails near the Muir Woods. There are also picnic and swimming areas on the premises.
